Oct 20: Antero Winds perform part 3 of the “Second Suite from Razumov”

Our fabulous Antero Winds will be giving a Free Concert at the Boulder Public Library!
Boulder Public LIbrary’s Lunchtime Concert Series

Location: Boulder Public Library – Canyon Theater Street: 1001 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO
The “Second Suite from Razumov” derives from Act Two of Greg Bartholomew’s chamber opera, “Razumov,” based on the novel “Under Western Eyes” by Joseph Conrad. The opera concerns a young Russian caught up in the consequences of a political assassination.

Nov. 7 : Solo with the Aurora Symphony

Our multi-talented Laura Anderson will be playing the Glazunov Violin Concerto with the Aurora Symphony on November 7th at 7:30 pm. The concert will be at the STBM building at 19697 E Smoky Hill Road in Aurora. (It is the building directly west of the King Soopers) More details are available at www.aurorasymphony.org. Tickets are available on the website and will be sold at the door.

Oct 17: Lynn Baker at a Blue Sky Collective

You are invited  to a very special concert coming up Saturday, October 17, 2009. Mel Martin, the acclaimed saxophonist/composer from the Bay Area will be playing a concert with some of his best Denver buddies; our own Lynn Baker, Jeff Jenkins – keyboards, Mark Simon – bass, and Paul Romaine – drums. There are a couple of other really interesting things about this concert: The concert is at Blue Sky Collective (info below), this is a new venue that I hope the jazz community will get to know and support, and the concept of is one of an old-fashioned Jazz House Party.Blue Sky Collective  9635 W. Oct. 6 : Donna Wickham

Dazzle will be hosting another of our great vocalists. Donna Wickham is singing with composer Stephen Bailey. This concert is taking place on October 6th at 7:00 pm.  Dazzle nightclub is located at 930 Lincoln St. Denver. Come and sample what’s happening in contemporary chamber music!  Melodious to textural, acoustic to electronic…  meet and chat with the composers! This concert will feature works by Daniel Morel, Janet Spangenberg and Stephen Bailey. It is sponsored by the Colorado Composers Alliance (www.coloradocomposersalliance.com).

Sept. 23 : Hitachi Company Party

As long-tine fans of our musicians, Hitachi Corporation enjoyed three of our masterful musicians at the Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion Sept 23,2009. Roger Harmon and Jonathan Barlow performed in a duet of Classical guitars. Heidi Stoll added her talents on the grand piano. Hitachi has used our musicians at a variety of locations including the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Art Museum. We look forward to many more grand events with this fine corporate client!
