Anna

Anna graduated from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of music with a Certificate in Orchestral Studies in Violin (2009) and a Master’s degree in Suzuki Violin Pedagogy (2008). While attending DU, Anna had the privilege to study with Linda Wang and Yumi Hwang-Williams and did her Suzuki teacher training with James Maurer. In 2006, Anna graduated summa cum laude from Humboldt State University with a B.A in violin performance. During her four years at H.S.U where she studied with Dr. Cynthia Moyer, Morris was the concertmaster of the Humboldt State University Symphony, and was the first violin of a student formed group, the Klamath Quartet. Anna has an intense love of chamber music, and has attended many summer chamber music programs where she studied with quartets such as the Pacifica and the Cavani. Morris also enjoys performing as a soloist, and made her debut at the age of 12 with the Mad River Philharmonic. Later solo appearances included performing with the Eureka Symphony (winner of the 2001 “Young People’s Concert” competition), and the Humboldt State University Symphony (honorable mention winner of the 2005 Concerto/Aria competition). Morris performed Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto in D with the Eureka Symphony Orchestra in their Winter Concert, February of 2013.
